There are lots of ways you can get involved in fundraising, whether it’s as an individual or with a group. You could take on a sponsored challenge, hold a bake sale, take on a 10,000 a day step-a-thon or host a quiz night at your local pub. The opportunities are endless!

Fundraise at your school or nursery
From bake sales and dress down days, to fitness challenges and Christmas Jumper Day, there are lots of ways to get young people and children involved with fundraising for ECHO. Whether you’re interested in fundraising for your local children’s ward, a particular project or local NHS staff we’re here to help and support you on your fundraising journey.

From the moment you choose ECHO as your Charity of the Year, we work with you to build a calendar of engaging fundraising events and activities for your students, staff and parents.
As part of your Charity of the Year partnership you’ll get:
- A school assembly with an introduction to ECHO, your local NHS charity
- A letter to send home to parents about ECHO
- Support with your events, including collection buckets and ECHO branded merchandise
- Shout outs on our social media to celebrate your fundraising
- A celebration assembly at the end of the year
- One off fundraising event ideas
Are you interested in taking part or running your own fundraising event for ECHO? Take a look at some of our fundraising ideas:

Fundraise in the community
Are you part of a community group looking to support your local NHS charity? Do you belong to a Scout or Brownie group? Have a golf club membership or part of a WI or rotary club? We’d love to hear from you!

- A presentation with an introduction to your ECHO, your local NHS charity
- Support with your events, including collection buckets and ECHO branded merchandise
- Shout outs on our social media to celebrate your fundraising
- A celebration presentation once your fundraising has finished

- Nearly new sale – do you have Christmas presents you’ve put aside or an outfit you’ll never wear? Sell or swap your unwanted items with friends and family and donate the money to ECHO

- Give something up – can’t live without your daily coffee shop trip or weekly take away? Why not donate the money you save from giving up a habit or set up a JustGiving page to get sponsored by your friends or family
Fundraise in Celebration
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, christening, anniversary or other special occasion, asking for a donation to ECHO charity instead of a gift is an amazing way to mark your special day.
- Click the top right of Facebook
- Click Fundraisers
- Click raise money
- Search for ‘East Cheshire NHS Charity’
- Tap Create in the top right
- Log into your account and click ‘Start Fundraising'
- When asked 'Are you fundraising for a registered charity?', select 'Yes, continue'
- Search for East Cheshire NHS charity
- Select if you're taking part in an event, celebrating an occasion, fundraising in memory or doing your own thing
- If you can't see your event listed, select ‘Add your own’ at the bottom of the page and tell us a bit more about your activity
- Choose your web address – this is the link you’ll be sharing with friends and family when asking them to donate
- Tick 'Yes' if you're running a bake sale, or selling tickets to an event, raffle or auction (donations to your Page won't be eligible for Gift Aid)
- Click ‘Create your page’
